Today is a Snow Day!

Unfortunately Dan is stuck downtown Chicago... has been there
since 4am Tuesday... so mummy got to shovel
(at least enough to let the mighty white mites out.)

We are also thankful we are not one of the 60,000 homes without

electricity this morning. Hoping Daddy can come home soon :(

Elliott said his first word a few weeks ago - we were at Petsmart, picking up a tag & collar for Baby Beatrix... and Elliott and Charlotte-Amélie were watching the dogs play at the pet hotel. Elliott said "WOOF." :o) As you can guess, Hamlet was very proud.

A few days later he said the word "Book" ...
and as you can imagine, mummy was very proud :o)

He had been signing "book" for a few weeks,
but now he says book, and also ball.

He has had a number of illnesses lately - poor little guy,
but he is a real trooper... and despite feeling out of sorts quite often, he is still my little angelbunny!

Poor hammie was evicted from his bed a few weeks ago
(he is now outnumbered by females in the laundry room),

so Beatrix got a new bed all to herself.
Last time we looked, Hammie was in it -
Ophelia and Beatrix are sleeping in Hamlet's bed again.

He seems happy with the new arrangement though!

Our friend Katie (pictured above in her elf attire) invited us to a special Christmas Breakfast in Bolingbrook. We first met Katie when her mom & mom-in-law came to meet Beatrix, Lucy, Daisy Bernard and Vincent. And, both are now proud owners of Maltese pups (Hamlet & Ophelia are very pleased their offspring have landed in great homes!!)
